Aim
The main aim of the workshop was to present and discuss the main progress achieved on systems and techniques related to the energy performance and the environmental quality of buildings. The application of the EPBD in Europe as well as the latest important research results offer a very important occasion to reexamine policies in the buildings sector. Climatic change issues and the need to accomplish the Kyoto targets put a serious stress to policy makers as well as to researchers in order to adopt new energy and environmental scenarios. Sustainability issues and the need for economic development are issues that have to be seriously considered as well.
The present workshop was addressed to researchers, engineers, policy makers and all scientists working on the field of buildings.
The workshop was a Milos Conferences event.
