Papers outlining and showcasing recent advances in all thematic areas of ECOMINING 2009 are welcome.
Participants are invited to submit abstracts either for oral or poster presentations to the conference committee. Upon abstract approval, authors will submit written papers. To submit an abstract for consideration, please follow the guidelines below. Oral and poster papers will be peer-reviewed.
The abstracts should be written in English, and not exceeding 150 words with the following obligatory headings:
-Authors and the corresponding affiliations
-Abstract (max 150 words)
-Indicate your preference for an oral or poster presentation
The deadline for abstracts' submission is the 23rd of April 2009. Receipts of all abstracts will be acknowledged and the authors of accepted papers will be notified by the 30th of April 2009. Authors of accepted papers will be required to write a full paper.
The deadline for full papers submission is the 30th of June 2009. Papers received after this date will not be included in the Conference Proceedings.
Interested contributors are kindly asked to send their abstracts as .doc or .rtf attachment to the email email@example.com provided that they have created their profile at the Magma's Booking Engine which automatically updates the conference database. There is no charge for this procedure. Registration to the conference, hotel reservation, booking of tours and social events etc can be done at the same time or at a later stage).
Steps for the abstract submission:
1. Prepare your abstract
2. Create your profile* at the Magma's Booking Engine
3. Send your abstract .doc or .rtf attachment to the email firstname.lastname@example.org
* For abstracts with more then one authors registration at the Magma¢s Booking Engine is needed only for the person who submits the abstract
* If your have already created your profile at the Magma's Bookings Engine (e.g. from a previous conference organized by Heliotopos) please DO NOT repeat this procedure.
Authors should pay the full registration the 30th of May 2009 to ensure that their paper will appear in the Programme and will be included in the Proceedings.
Authors of accepted papers will be required to submit a full paper by the 30th of May 2009, which will be included in the Conference Proceedings. Proceedings will be available at the conference.
AUTHOR'S MORAL OBLIGATION
The organisers consider acceptance of a presentation as a commitment by at least one of the authors to register for and attend the conference to present the paper. If extenuating circumstances prevent the author from making the presentation, it is the author's moral obligation to find an alternative presenter and to notify the organisers.
